In Concert at the Hollywood Bowl
For nearly a century, the iconic Hollywood Bowl has been a sanctuary for music lovers. When COVID-19 led to the first-ever season cancellation in its 98-year history, the LA Philharmonic and PBS rose to the challenge, creating In Concert at the Hollywood Bowl to keep this beloved tradition alive on television. Hosted by LA Phil’s Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel, this six-episode series brought unforgettable performances from an array of legendary artists—including Kristin Chenoweth, Katy Perry, John Williams, Carlos Santana, and Herbie Hancock—to audiences at home, celebrating a decade of show-stopping music.
Creative contributions to this innovative series included show open, title treatment, and key art, alongside a full suite of over 100 assets, including digital ads and episodic promos for a nationwide PBS rollout. Each deliverable was crafted to capture the Bowl’s magic, ensuring viewers felt the energy of the performances and the spirit of one of L.A.’s most cherished venues from wherever they watched.
