Blue Sky Metropolis

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing, Blue Sky Metropolis tells the captivating story of Southern California’s Aerospace Industry. This remarkable documentary series sheds light on the “Blue Sky” thinking of some of the most renowned figures from the era, such as John Northrop, Glenn Martin, Donald Douglas, Amelia Earhart, Howard Hughes, Walt Disney, Wernher Von Braun, and many others. In addition, it uncovers the hidden social issues beneath the surface of the California Dream while applauding the state’s achievements as a global innovation leader.

Inspired by the light and darkness of the era, the final creative deliverables included visual identity and title sequence, show packaging, hero art for launch marketing, series sales, episodic promos, lifts, and cuts for social media. The series debuted in Los Angeles and later aired nationally on PBS as a remarkable tribute to the dreamers and makers of the era.
